Our House (2015)
Our House (2015) is a series of photographs shot from inside a digital reconstruction of an improbable house I was living in, in Pittsburgh in 2015. I used a depth scanner to capture three dimensional models of each room of the house, and portraits of each person who lived there. The virtual scene was built after the fact by stitching together the fragmented room scans and the bodies of the spaces temporary inhabitants. The final photographs were taken by ‘walking through' the frozen scene in Virtual Reality, and using my gaze as the camera.
